Perhaps originating from Alberta’s longstanding ranching history (which of course has tied into the world-famous Calgary Stampede), the people here have a strong entrepreneurial spirit, resulting in lots of private camping options.

Our park is a great place for a quiet retreat. Individual campsites in the main loop are well separated by trees. Three of the campsites are large drive-through sites. There are also six campsites closer to the playground and beach which are on a large lawn area that are ideal for camping in groups. The beach area was expanded in 2018, complete with beach volleyball

There are two parks at Crane Lake, each with its own unique attractions. PARK office located in West Park with firewood sales. East campers must launch on WEST side, (launch closed, east beach has with designated swimming area, newer playground, non-potable water, fish- cleaning stand, and wheelchair accessible outhouses. All campsites in the East area are non-power, and generators can be operated from 7:00AM to 11:00PM; .some sites are very open for group camping. (Gazebo to be built in 2020) In the West Park, amenities include 30-amp power, boat launch, and beach with designated swimming area, fish cleaning stand, non-potable water, and wheelchair accessible outhouses. A few are open enough to be considered double sites.

Each individual campsite in the West campground has 30-amp power, fire pit and table; only a few are open enough to be considered double sites. ** In the East Park, *No Power*, amenities include beach with designated swimming area, newer playground, picnic shelter, non-potable water, fish- cleaning stand, and wheelchair accessible outhouses. (Some group sites)

Nestled in the Boreal Forest on the shores of Cold Lake, French Bay M.D. Park is a quiet area. There is a warm, shallow swimming area. The bay is a great place to launch car top boats, kayaks, and canoes for exploring and fishing. This is a non-power campsite.

Minnie Lake is a 10 minute drive north east of Glendon - home of the World’s Largest Pyrogy. Minnie Lake is a beautiful little lake, and is popular for swimming, all kinds of watercraft (motorized and non-motorized), and wakeboarding.

Located 12 km east off of Highway 28 (just before the Town of Bonnyville) on Township Road 610 and six km south on Range Road 452 (watch for signs). Ninety-three individual sites: 54 with power, 39 non-power. Two non-power group areas, two ball diamonds, playground, two beach volleyball courts, soccer, horseshoes, ladder ball, 13 km trail network for hiking/biking and cross-country skiing, running water, barrier-free accessibility in washrooms and showers , trailer dumping station, and firewood for sale. Concession available for 2021 season (cash only). Excellent birdwatching area, with a variety of wildlife. Fabulous family camping.

Pelican Point M.D. Park features well spread out campsites, two small beaches, boat launch, plenty of fish cleaning tables, a newer playground, two hand pump water wells, trailer dumping station, and firewood sales. Most campsites have a grass base, and include a firepit and picnic table. Some sites share large common grassy areas, others are tucked amongst the trees. There are two group camping areas, and three small campsites in the south side of the park away from the main area.

Vezeau Beach MD Park is a small RV campground with full amenities located on the shores of Moose Lake. Conveniently located just 4 kms from the town of Bonnyville and next door to the Bonnyville Golf and Country Club.
