Campground Description

Nestled in the heart of town, The Bruce Mines Campground and RV Park is a haven for wanderers seeking tranquility. Park your RV or trailer amidst towering pine trees, spacious drive through sites available. If camping under the starts is more appealing, we have several cozy tent sites available too. RV spots come with electric hook ups (30 amps), picnic spots perfect for outdoor feasts, fire pits for toasty nights, and access to water. Treat yourself to soothing hot showers at an affordable nightly and weekly rates. Don't fret about waste disposal - there's a handing sani-station on site too.

Just take a leisurely five-minute stroll to find a treasure trove of conveniences like a Laundromat, Post Office, Royal Bank with an ATM, hair salon, mechanic shop, local antique stores, Municipal office, eateries, convenient store, gas station, drug store, The Legion Br # 211, liquor and grocery stores, Library with WIFI, and even a Marina with a small play structure for kids. The Historical Mine Trail is attached to the campground and only a short walk to a local beach and museum.

Indemnification 

 

By booking a stay with our campground, you acknowledge and agree that the rules and regulations are intended for the safe enjoyment of all users of the campground. You acknowledge that the Town of Bruce Mines is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any other user or camper of the campground, including without limitation, their failure to follow the rules and regulations. The Town of Bruce Mines assumes no responsibility for, nor shall it be named as liable for any loss suffered or incurred by you, your children, or invitees, or any personal property belonging to any of the foregoing, including, without limitation, your camper, camper trailer, vehicles or personal contents regardless of the cause, including causes beyond the Town of Bruce Mines' control. You, your children and your invitees agree that the use of the campground is at their own risk. You, together with your heirs, executors, and assigns agree to waive, release, indemnify and hold harmless the Town of Bruce Mines from all claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, actions and causes of action, whether in law or equity, in respect of death, injury, loss or damages to themselves, children or invitees however caused arising or to arise by reason of occupation and use of the campground and notwithstanding that same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of the Town of Bruce Mines. You further undertake on your own behalf and on behalf of your children, and invitees to indemnify the Town of Bruce Mines from and against any and al liability incurred by any or all of them arising as a result of or in any way connected with your and their stay at the campground.

Cancellation Policy

Full refund minus the fees ( 5$ & processing fees) for cancellations within 24 hours of reservation.

Bruce Mines Campground

Seasonal Guidelines (listed alphabetically)

 

  • ADD-A-ROOMS: Home built add-a-rooms are not permitted. Factory-built screen porches and add-a-rooms may be permitted with prior approval.
  • ALCOHOL/CANNABIS/TOBACCO:  May only be consumed on a registered site and not on public municipal areas.
  • BEHAVIOUR/NOISE:   Loud/excessive noise, rowdy behaviour or swearing will not permitted at any time.  Campers are expected to always exercise responsible behaviour.  Electronic devices are to be controlled so as not to disturb others. Power tools may only be used for short periods of time and never before 10 a.m. or after 7 p.m.  Camper operated chain saws are not permitted.

* Please respect the property of others and do not cut through or trespass on other camper’s sites including when not at sites. Also, do not removed items from other sites.

  • DECKS AND SHEDS: With the prior consent of park management, decks built of solid wood or plywood and small metal/plastic sheds may be permitted on seasonal trailer site, but both must be portable.      Decks are to be a maximum width of eight feet by the length of the trailer.  Sheds are be constructed of metal, poly or a prefab wood with a maximum dimension of four by six feet.  No fridges are permitted on decks. Saunas/portable saunas, hot tubs/portable hot tubs not permitted.
  • ELECTRICAL:  Electrical services are limited to 30 Amps and one per site and must be connected with an approved RV cord. Air conditioning units are not to be left running when the site is un-occupied.
  • FEES: Seasonal agreement must be signed, and fees must be paid in full at the town office before the first Friday of June for seasonal occupancy or the trailer removed from the site by the third Friday of June.
  • FIREPIT AND FIREPLACE ASHES: Clean ashes (no garbage) from fire pits or fireplaces are to be placed in one of the designated piles for ashes. It is not to be put into dumpster or in the forest.
  • FIRES: Campfires must be kept small (no higher than three feet) and away from buildings, underground service lines and trees. Campfires must be extinguished completely before being left unattended, so smoke is not left smouldering and dispersing into the surrounding air.  Burning of leaves, brush or garbage is not permitted. A fire ban must be observed when posted. NO DAYTIME BURNING IS ALLOWED.
  • FIREWORKS:  Are not allowed
  • FOUR WHEELERS/SIDE-BY-SIDES:  Campers are to use caution when entering and exiting the park and be aware of pedestrians and children walking.      “Joyriding” in the campground is prohibited. Speed limit of 10 KM enforced. Absolutely no intoxicated operation of motorized vehicles.
  • GARBAGE: All household garbage only is to be bagged and placed in garbage receptacles. Recyclables, empty propane bottles and batteries to be taken home.
  • INSURANCE: Bruce Mines Campground insures its own property. It does not insure the property of its customers. Trailer owners must carry adequate insurance on their own unit
  • LIABILITY: The Town and staff of The Bruce Mines Campground do not accept liability for injury of any kind resulting from the use of the grounds and facilities of the Campground, nor do they accept responsibility for the damage or loss of personal property brought into the Campground.
  • PARKING: Extra or guest vehicles are not to be parked on vacant sites.
  • PETS: Seasonal guests may bring quiet/gentle pets into the park – excessive barking is not permitted.  These pets are not permitted in washrooms. Pets must be kept on leashes and pet owners must "pick up" after them. Pets must not be left unattended in the campground (i.e., tied up at campsite without responsible adult present on the site). Pets are not to chase wild animals.
  • PICNIC TABLE:  One is provided per site.
  • PLANTERS:  Portable only – no trees or shrubs are to be planted
  • QUIET HOURS: Quiet hours are from 11 p.m. to 9 a.m. each night.  All outside electronic devices are to be turned off during quiet hours so as not to disturb other campers.  Inside electronic devices are to be kept at low volume so as not to disturb outside campers.
  • SEASONAL SITES:  Are for use of the original purchaser and can’t be sub-let or transferred.  If trailer on site sells, site is not automatically transferred to next owner as the town has a waiting list.
  • SEWAGE: Sewage including grey water is not to be discharged from trailers onto the ground or into pits. Such items as sanitary napkins and diapers are not to be put in toilets or the park campground sewage system.
  • SITE CONDITION: Each seasonal camper is responsible for maintaining (grass cutting, tidiness) his or her rented site.
  • TRAILERS: Trailers brought into the Campground are to be parked seasonally are to be factory built, in good condition, black water holding tank, grey water holding tank and not over the size limit for the site rented. Each trailer to display a valid licence plate.
  • TRAILER SKIRTING: Only professional quality made trailer skirting or lattice is to be used to skirt trailers.
  • TRAILER SITES: Only one family unit with one tent or trailer may occupy one site.  A secondary tent may be used on a trailer site for visits but may not be left permanently. Dining tents are allowed but must be secured.
  • WATER:  One outlet per site provided.  Due to high water pressure, it is suggested that each camper use a pressure regulator on his or her water connection. The campground will not be responsible for any damage caused by high water pressure.
  • No washing of trailers or vehicles and no running sprinklers or watering grass
  • WINTER STORAGE: Contact management to arrange for winter storage. The only items to be left on the site during the off-season are a registered trailer, a deck, a shed, and a small woodpile.
  • MINIMUM AGE: The minimum age requirement to reserve a campsite must be 16 years.

 

PLEASE NOTE:

 

STAFF:  ARE TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT – DISRUPTIVE, ABUSIVE OR THREATENING BEHAVIOUR OR LANGUAGE WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.  THIS WILL RESULT IN THE ENFORCEMENT OF THE CONTRAVENTION POLICY BELOW.

 

Contravention of any of the above will result in:

  • First occurrence– a verbal warning with compliance to be immediate
  • Second occurrence – a written warning with compliance to be immediate
  • Third occurrence – a written notice of immediate eviction from the campground - no refund will be issued, and trailer must be removed within 7 days of the eviction notice
