Campground Description
Our Main campground is located at the end of main street (Caradoc Ave) in the Village. The campground is treed and steps away from the Carbon Centennial Swimming Pool (outdoor). Each site has its own fire pit and picnic table. Walking trails close by, ball diamond and playground. There is a shower house in the campground which is free for campers. Wi-Fi is also available free of charge. Camp Kitchen FREE of Charge. Disc (Frisbee) Golf a short walk to the Carbon Lions Park, walking paths, playgrounds, museum, and artesian gift shop. Amenities include bottle depot, Community Church, grocery and liquor store, and restaurants. Sewer Dumping Station: Available for use Camp Kitchen: FREE of Charge. Contact the Village Office at (403) 572-3244 to reserve.
Local Attractions

CAMPGROUND POLICY
AND RULES
POLICY 2023-02
POLICY STATEMENT:
It is the policy of Council to maintain and operate the Village of Carbon East Campground and Main Campground in the most fiscally responsible and user accommodating manner possible.
POLICY BACKGROUND:
The Village of Carbon East Campground and Main Campground are Municipally owned, with operations funded from a combination of Municipal taxes and user fees. The Village of Carbon East and Main Campgrounds are seasonal campgrounds that open mid-May through mid-October, with a part-time, off-site attendant.
Campground Policy and Rules are available on the Village of Carbon website, Camp Reservations Canada website, the Village of Carbon Office, and emailed to guests at time of booking.
GUEST POLICIES:
- Check-in Time is 2 p.m. and Checkout Time is 12 noon.
- Silence must be respected between 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Music must be kept at reasonable levels and turned off by 11 p.m.
- Children must be supervised in washrooms and must never be left unattended.
- Alcoholic beverages restricted to your site.
- The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behavior is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
- OHV use3 is permitted within the Village of Carbon along permitted locations. See Off Highway Vehicle Bylaw 2023-862 on the Village of Carbon Website.
- No pools of any kind are permitted.
- Fires are permitted in fire pit/rings only, must not be left unattended and must be extinguished before retiring.
- Barbecues are permitted but must always be raised off the ground and attended by an adult.
- Physical damage to campground, buildings, trees, burning deadfall or moving fire pits will be subject to a vandalism charge and eviction from the campground without refund.
- Campsite must be clean and free of any debris at time of departure or guest may be subject to a campsite clean-up fee.
- Wi-Fi is available for campground patrons.
- The Sani-dump is available for campground patrons.
RESERVATIONS: - Bookings are available the first business day in February.
- Reservations are accepted in person, by phone or online at www.campreservations.ca.
- Camping fees are collected in full at the time the reservation is taken.
- Group reservations can be made by contacting Village Administration.
- Camp Kitchen reservations can be made by contacting Village Administration.
- All long weekends require a 3-night minimum reservation.
EVENT BOOKINGS:
- Event bookings will be available to start booking the 2nd Monday in January.
- To book, please fill out the Campground Event Booking Form found on the Village of Carbon website or in person at the Village of Carbon Municipal Office.
- Main and East Campground Map will be available to select sites for the event.
- Credit Card information will be required for processing.
- Cancellation/ Refund: A minimum of 60 days prior to event start date will receive a full refund. Cancellation within 60 days will result in NO REFUND. This is non-negotiable.
FEES:
All fees charged are in accordance with the Village of Carbon Master Rates Bylaw. Rates are reviewed and adjusted annually by the Village of Carbon Council.

RV SITE RULES:
- Maximum 5 people per Site.
- One tent allowed on RV Site at additional nightly cost.
- Maximum of one vehicle per Site.
- Extra vehicles (other than registered guests) must use the parking at the ball diamond.
TENTING RULES:
- Maximum 5 people per site.
- One additional tent is allowed on Tenting Site at additional nightly cost.
- Maximum of one vehicle per site.
- Extra vehicles (other than registered guests) must use the parking at the ball diamond.
CABIN RULES:
- Maximum 5 people per site.
- No smoking permitted.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Extra vehicles (other than registered guests) must use the parking at the ball diamond.
- Guest must bring own sleeping pads and bedding.
- This is a non-serviced shelter. Electrical and water are not permitted in the cabin.
PETS:
- Guest must limit the number of pets to a maximum of two per campsite.
- Pets must always be on a leash and under control.
- Owners are required to clean up after their pets (scraps, toys, and excrement).
- Pets are not permitted within public buildings (washrooms, camp kitchen), with the exception of service dogs assisting disabled persons.
- Pets are not to make excessive noise or disturb other persons.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
- Charges are for the use of assigned site and campground facilities only.
- The Campground assumes no responsibility for the loss thru collision, fire, theft or otherwise, to car, recreational vehicle, tent or any vehicle, or their contents or the personal belongings of those in an
on-site rented cabin, recreational vehicle site, or tenting site, whether due to negligence or otherwise. - Any violation of the campground rules or guest policies, the determination of which shall be the sole discretion of the Campground Attendant or Operator, shall result in termination of this reservation with no refund given.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
- In the event of any cancellation of the reservation, you will forfeit the Camp Reservations Canada booking fee.
- If cancelling 8 days prior, or more, to your date of arrival, is a full refund.
- Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to arrival are completely non-refundable.
- No refunds are given for early checkouts, with no exceptions.
- No refunds are given to anyone who is evicted from the campground for any reason.
- No refunds are given if you have booked a smaller site than you need to accommodate your RV length.
- No refunds will be given due to weather.
This Policy comes into effect upon resolution of Council.

- No refunds are given if you have booked a smaller site than you need to accommodate your RV length.
- No refunds will be given due to weather.

- If cancelling 8 days or more prior to your date of arrival, a one night’s fee will apply, and the remainder of the cost will be refunded.
- Cancellations made 7 days or less prior to arrival are completely non-refundable.
- No refunds are given for early checkouts, with no exceptions.
- No refunds are given to anyone who is evicted from the campground for any reason.
- No refunds are given if you have booked a smaller site than you need to accommodate your RV length.
- No refunds will be given due to weather.
