Campground Description
We are a full service campground that is located on the beautiful Similkameen river just a few kms outside of Hedley, BC. We feature 25 campsite choices, 4 cabins and an RV rental. We are open April/May - Oct every year. The cabins each have 2 double beds with a fridge, electric kettle, coffee maker and toaster oven. All cabins have fire pit as well as a deck and picnic table overlooking the river. Just show up and relax! We have a rental RV that sleeps 3 adults. We invite you to come and sample some of the old time hospitality that rural British Columbia is known for. Many come in for the night and end up staying for days!
Local Attractions
Gold Mountain R.V. Park & Cabins is the jewel of the historic Similkameen Valley and one of the best kept secrets in British Columbia. The park is named after the Gold Mountain Mine which operated up until 1937. Experience this fantastic adventure and take a 4.8 km (3 mile) hike on Gold Mountain where you will still find old cabins and the abandoned mine. Many atv trails accessible right from your campsite! Fishing, hiking, gold panning are all favorite past times of our guests. In addition, hit up the historic town of Hedley. Spend the day browsing, visit the Farmer's Market and local museum.

LoginQuiet, small and clean
A lovely stay at Gold Mountain RV Park and Cabins. The park is clean with beautiful gardens and the fall flowers were lovely. A quiet location just off the highway right by the river. The hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Great Host

Absolutely lovely!
We rented two cabins for our family and it was a wonderful 4 days! The cabins are rustic, but very clean, came well-equipped with fan, heater, coffee maker, kettle, toaster oven. The deck was great - with a picnic table. The view was amazing - the cabins are right above the river. Soaking in the Similkameen on a warm day was just steps away. The hosts were very helpful and the campground clean and quiet. We will definitely return!

loved this site!
We had a group of 4 families there (2 in cabins) and loved it! The views were amazing - the walk to the beach was super easy and the river was so fun to be in. The bathrooms were cleaned daily. The sites all had great services/set ups. It was extremely hot & dry so we had to have the fans going at all times. My only feedback is that perhaps the cabins can get screen doors to allow the doors to be open for air flow but keep the bugs out :) otherwise we can't wait to go back!

Comfortable Rustic Cabin
We stayed 4 nights in Cabin #1 and really enjoyed the view of the river from the deck. It is "Rustic" but clean and comfortable.
Would definitely stay there again.

Great camping location
Fortunate to grab a spot near the river. The hosts were friendly and extremely helpful. There are comments about the dated washroom, yeah they are but it’s a quaint place not a high end KOA place so expect that. Everything worked (showers etc) as they should. I appreciate they have areas for entertainment such as huge chessboard, kids playground and more. Great location to unwind and to relax, great spot. We would come back.

Beautiful Spot!
If you are looking to get away and relax this is it! To sit back and watch the river and its wildlife is so peaceful. Super clean, wonderful hosts and the wifi is excellent. We are looking forward to our next get away to relax and refresh!

Wonderful Host
Danny was very helpful, and friendly. I was given a pull through site, which was perfect for a one night stay. The campground is in a beautiful location on the river. Very scenic and peaceful. Hookups worked well, and Included WIFI was strong. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Area
This is a beautiful treed campground along the Similkameen river. We’ve stayed here twice now. Both times in Sept. Full hookups and reasonably priced. Wonderfully quiet. The washrooms are dated but very clean. The whole campsite is well maintained and manicured. We will be back.

Beautiful views and friendly staff
Regretfully we could stay only for one night on our way back to Vancouver. We had a nice site near the beautiful river bank. The places and facilities are kept clean and tidy. However the shower facility definitely needs an upgrade. It's really very old, too dark and partly unsafe with open electric wiring visible in the shower and for that you need to pay a loonie. Europeans in general prefer to use a campground bathroom over the RV bathroom, but in this case I would rather use the tiny RV bathroom. However with 5 in our family that was merely impossible. So if you have any chance to modernize your bathroom facility in the near future that would make your campground on forgettable :-). All the best. Raymond

Wonderful location to stay for a few days.
We had a family get together at Gold Mountain, and it went off very well. We had 7 campsites and 2 cabins.
There have been many very positive comments about the beautiful location, esp. with the river running through it. Danny & Jin were very accomodating, and we all had a great time rafting down the river, swimming, and visiting local coffee shops and wineries.
This is one of those places that you have to stay at for a few days.

The Best RV Park and Owners that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Not only do they have a absolutely stunning place to camp, what's even more special are the people who run it. Danny and his family make you really feel like family.
We had a few problems with our trailer and he is always there to help and try his best. I know that if I had any issue, even a medical emergency I could rely on him. In this world you don't meet genuine people like that very often. I have to say he is one of the most genuine, caring, and kind person me and my family have ever met.
We have been, and will be coming back for a long time. Thank you or being you, and thank you for everything you do and offer to us. I would highly, highly recommend this RV Park to everyone.

Clean and quiet
Absolutely loved our trip to the Good Mountain RV Park. Host was friendly and helpful and kept everything clean and tidy. Washrooms were always clean and the sites were raked prior to our arrival. The river is definitely a high point for us as well. We spent hours hanging at the river and floating around. We will definitely be back again. Oh, and sani dump on site as well.
Hidden Gem
We loved this halfway point to meet with family, two river-view sites were perfect with easy access to toddler-friendly river beach that had a rock lined “pool” area so they could play in the water. Washrooms very clean with showers. We enjoyed a 40 minute tube ride on the river which was excellent first week of July from the nearby bridge right to the campground. I would highly recommend this reasonably priced campground and would definitely return.

Great spot for a family gathering!
This was our second year at Gold Mountain for an annual family gathering. Perfect spot with cabins and RV sites. Warm and welcoming hosts keep it very clean and well maintained. Right on the Similkameen and well treed for shade. Enjoyed by three generation and plan to return next year!

We love Gold Mountain
We love Gold Mountain. I have been coming to this campground for 10 years. Danny and Gin are very hospitable hosts.
It's nice and close to Hedley and the river is fantastic to hang out at. The prices are still very reasonable which for us is a win.
Even though we are regulars, Danny always checks to make sure we enjoyed our stay when we leave.
This campground is safe and perfect for families with little kids. Pet friendly. The view from the cabins are incredible.

Quiet and charming
Loved our cabin it was perfect! I enjoyed the quiet nights and the drizzle of rain. Beds were comfy and it was so nice to get blankets from the store less to pack and unpack. I would say with the patios being so close it would be beneficial to have a semi private fence latex atop the patio railing. Great visit with neighbours and we all had the understanding that we all were there to relax and take in the views and quiet scenery
Beautiful, quiet campground overlooking the river
This is a hidden gem, it has everything you need, and the camp host Denny was so nice and helpful, and made our stay even that much better. There is a building with washrooms and showers and anytime I went in I was all by myself, it’s perfect for the size of campground. Cabins looked lovely, and people staying in them seem to be really enjoying themselves. We had a lovely fire in an immaculate campsite. It is exceptionally quiet as the campsites are set just far enough back from the highway to make for a very lovely night sleep. We have hammock tents in site 24 and it worked perfectly. We can’t wait to go back again!

Great stay at Gold Mountain
We stayed for 2 nights in the RV and wished is was longer, the weather was good a little cool but campfires were allowed and the very good host provided wood for a cost and it was awesome. Would recommend to anyone that want a quiet getaway
Wonderful Campsite
Great clean campsite. Owners are very nice and helpful. Short walk down to the river. Will definitely book a holiday there next year!

Perfect setting!
Excellent location! We booked three sites and enjoyed our stay. Took the ATV's right from the sites, out to some trails. Property was clean, owners are great!
Great family campground!
We have now done two years in a row here with our friends and their kids. The campground is clean and quiet and small which is great for smaller kids. It feels very safe and there’s a playground and big grassy area for the kids to play at. You can tell the owners take pride in their property and business!
We will definitely make this a regular summer camping spot!

This campground has one set of washroom.s the toilets are plugged every morning and had only 1 shower on each side mens and women's in high season the ri er walk is in extreme disrepair and was very hard for older persons to access water
Owner is more worried about the grass in a then anyone should be in this climate lol
I would not recommended but its nice that you can hear a pin drip after 10pm unless the loud guests are also korean then it seems fine ?

Sorry to hear that you didn't have satisfaction of camping here. Campground washroom is different from luxury hotel like Merrit. Our priority is clean. so we regularly check washroom to keep it clean that is also for our campers. One of showers has been out of order but we can't fix during the season because avoiding more inconvenience. We will repair during off season. Sorry about that. Our rules that are included off grass bike and parking that is also for pleasure camping. Anyway we apply the policies to every one no matter where they are from. We can't make everyone happy ,especially who don't want to keep our campground rules but we will try make our campground better for having good time with family and friends. This campground was very well maintained. The hosts were very friendly and helpful! Parents loved the peace and quiet and our kids loved their daily camp ice cream, giant chess game and playing horseshoes. Looking forward to visiting again

SLICE OF HEAVEN
Great spot,wanted to stop here for years,very glad that we did.Stayed in cabin-4,right over the river.ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE BUNKBEDS ,THEY CREAKED AND CRACKED WITH EVERYMOVE,,THEY ARE JUNK,THROW THEM AWAY DENNY.THE OWNERS ARE TRULY NICE PEOPLE.WE WILL BE BACK,HOPEFULLY BUNK BEDS WILL HAVE BEEN TOSSED OUT.

Great campground!
Wonderful location right on the (easily accessible) river. The host is super sweet and everything is tidy and neat. We would definitely return.

Very clean and well maintained.
The owner was very helpful with any questions we had. The facilities were clean. Water and electric at all sites. Dani dump as you leave. Beautiful Similkameen River a available for gold panning and swimming. Highly recommend a short 8 km road trip to Bromley Rock to swim and cliff jump. All sites are tree covered and their size was adequate. I recommend you visit this campground.

Very friendly hosts!
Although we had to leave early due to exreme heat (well over a 100 in a tent trailer), the campground was well maintained and the owners were very helpful!
