Information and History of our Resort
Established in 1904, Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort is a 4-season resort, one of the largest and oldest of its kind in B.C.
Nestled in the beautiful forest covered mountains, of the interior of British Columbia.
The resort is a great family destination, equipped with a store, lakefront beach, picnic tables, large grassy areas and a playground.
Fishing Boats, Paddle boards, Pedal boats and Kayaks are available for rent, and a boat launch.
Summer activities include, local biking/hiking trails, bird watching, swimming, boating and fishing, volleyball etc.
In the winter guests can enjoy ice fishing, sledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, skating and snowmobiling
RV sites and tenting options available, in May through September. Cabin rentals are available year round.
Knouff Lake is a fishing paradise, with a distinct species of rainbow trout.
The resort offers fun and excitement for the entire family, come and experience the wilderness at Knouff.
A 40 min drive to Kamloops, and just 30 minutes to world class Sun Peaks ski mountain.
Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort is great for a quick getaway,
yet far enough away from the city to provide rest and relaxation.

Policies and information
W We are a family orientated business, our policies are for the comfort of all
our guests. Please review all information before making a reservation, if you have
any further questions please contact the resort at 250 578-8155.
Gate Hours: Opens at 8:00 am / Closes at 10:00 pm unless otherwise notified.
Please notify the Resort if leaving early or arriving late as the gate may be locked.
Check-in/out: Check-in time: 3:00-6:00 pm / Check-out time 8:00-11:00 am.
After hours:
Names and locations will be posted on the Lodge front door after office hours.
Once you arrive go directly to your campsite or cabin and check into the office
after 10:00 am the following morning. No refunds given for late arrivals or early departure.
Registration: All guests must register and be paid in full at the office located in the Lodge
before proceeding to your Cabin, Trailer or Campsite.
You acknowledge that your credit card will be charged if you or your party cause damages to any resort property.
Day Visitors: Both visitors coming up for the day or visitors coming to see a registered guest
staying at the resort must sign-in at the office and get a day pass.
Day passes are $10.00 per person or $ 25.00 per car load.
*All day visitors must leave the resort before 10:00 pm.
Overnight Visitors: Visitors staying with registered guests overnight must check-in
at the office $10.00 per person.
Generator Hours, 8-10 am and 5-7 pm Please be respectful of your neighbours
Barbeques: are permitted, but must be raised off the ground and attended by an adult.
Lodge has community BBQ use. * ( No charcoal BBQs allowed during Fire Ban)
Pets: Limiting 2 dogs per cabin or campsite. Cost $20.00 per pet. All dogs must be on a leash
at all times. Under no circumstance are dogs are allowed on the Beach, Lodge or Bathrooms.
*We have a designated dog beach for owners with pets.
Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
Absolutely no dogs allowed on our beds. Please bring personal dog beds or cages.
Wifi: Available at the Lodge only, under: Knouff Lake guest. Password: Lake2020
*Important connect to Wifi calling before you come. We do not have a satellite or a pay phone.
Please download movies and games at home as we have limited data.
Showers: Bathhouse Showers cost $1.00 for 3 mins (only takes loonies)
Laundry: Washer and dryer cost $2.00 per load each (only takes loonies)
Bedding All trailers and cabins require you to bring your own bedding.
With exception to the Redwood cottage and Jayco trailer.
If this is not possible please call the resort at 250 578-8155 as we offer bedding for a charge.
Dishes All dishes, cookware & cutlery from Cabins & Trailers must be cleaned
at the dishwashing station provided in the front of the bath house. with sink, hot water
dish soap, towels and scrubby. Must be done prior to check-out or a $30.00 fee will apply.
Garbage/Recycling: Please put all garbage in the bins provided at the resort.
Garbage that does not fit in bins must be taken home ( ie. camping chairs, tents etc).
Please do not burn garbage in fire pits.
Firewood : $12.00 A bundle cash and carry from Lodge during store hours.
Fires/Fire Pit: Fires are permitted in fire pits only. Please do not move fire pits.
Campfires must be no larger than 20x20” (0.5mx0.5m) and be supervised at all times.
All fires must be put out by 12:00am midnight. Avoid having a campfire when its windy.
Follow all BC Government rules and regulations, and must be extinguished properly
Fire ban: In the event that a fire ban has been enforced, you may bring your own
propane fire pits and propane tanks as we do not supply them.
Please fill your propane tanks before your arrival as the resort can not fill them.
Smoking / Drug use
Smoking and/or Vaping is not permitted on the beach, docks or in any of the resort
buildings, including the office, rental cabins & trailers, bathrooms & laundry room.
Please put out in the proper containers and be respectful of other guests.
Do not leave butts or any other drug containers on the ground as we have children & pets.
No smoking during fire bans.
Quiet time: 10:00 pm - 8:00 am. All visiting and music must be at a reasonable noise level,
Please respect your neighbor. *Excessive music/noise will not be tolerated at any time.
Drones: are not permitted without permission from Staff, due to the privacy of our guests.
Fireworks: are not permitted without permission from Staff for the safety of our guests.
Sani Dump: $10.00 Pay at office prior to Dumping
Boat Launch: If you are not a registered guest. Pay $ 10.00 at the office prior to boat launch.
Vehicles: Including recreational, ie Snowmobiles, UTV’s & ATVs etc
Be considerate of our guests, when coming and going in and out of the Resort.
Please abide by the speed limit posted. No riding around in the Resort
Playground:. Is intended for children 5-10 No rough play, or climbing on outside
of equipment. Children under 6 adult supervision is required. Hours are dawn to dusk.
Use the playground at your own risk.
* Parents and Guardians are responsible for any/all of their children for the duration of your stay
*Knouff Lake Wilderness Lake Resort and staff are not responsible for any accidents,
Injuries, deaths. Loss or damage to guest or guests personal property.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy
To cancel your reservation, 60 days prior notice before your arrival date is required
for refund and will have reservation and credit card fees.
To cancel from 31-59 days prior notice before your arrival date is required for refund
for camp credit, and will be given to go toward a future reservation.
No refunds, if cancelled 30 days or less before check in date
Your reservation is a firm commitment, once you are within our cancellation policy,
no refunds are given should you leave early, or arrive late.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS AND ASSUMPTIONS OF RISK AGREEMENT
By signing this document you waive certain legal rights including the right to sue or claim compensation following an accident. Further, you agree to hold harmless and indemnify Knouff Lake Wilderness Resort Ltd. ("KLWR"), its employees, directors, officers, for any resulting losses or injuries in any events or services including playgrounds, boats, rental equipment, this includes any and all liability for any property damage, loss or personal injury to any third party resulting from activities in participation of any events on the property or facilities of KLWR, including any rentals.
The undersigned agrees that the release and indemnification shall be effective and binding upon the heirs, next of kin, executors, and administrators of my estate.
The undersigned agrees that the waiver of claims covers all losses due to causes including negligence, breach of contract, or breach of any statutory or any other duty of care including any duty of care owed under the Occupier's Liability Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 336. The undersigned understands that negligence includes failure on the part of KLWR, its directors, officers or employees to take reasonable steps to safeguard or protect me from or warn me of the risks, dangers, and hazards of participating in activities.
Further, the undersigned and all guests will ensure that life jackets are worn on all water rentals and boats and that all manufacturer and government safety requirements, including safety equipment, operator age, and protection gear are complied with in relation to use by operators and riders and passengers (where allowed) for boats, ATV's and snowmobiles. Further, all regulations regarding safe operation and speed restrictions will be complied with.
The undersigned takes full responsibility for the actions of all guests, renters and any pets or invitees in the trailers/cabins/cottages/campsites and resort facilities including outbuildings, bathrooms, and all resort property including an obligation to pay for any damages or injuries caused by persons or pets the undersigned is responsible for.
I further acknowledge that my credit card will be charged if there are any damages to trailers/cabins/cottages/campsites caused by those individuals or pets that I am responsible for.
I confirm that use of all facilities, rental equipment, etc. are at the person's own risk.
The undersigned is responsible to communicate the attached list of resort rules and regulations to all guests and invitees of the undersigned and to ensure that all rules and regulations are abided by the undersigned, guests and invitees of the undersigned.
KLWR reserves the right to deny access and terminate the guests' use and stay at KLWR Resort for breach of the rules and regulations, for harassment of staff or guests, or behaviour that is deemed unsuitable
by KLWR directors, officers or employees. If this action is required, no refunds will be offered.
