Campground Description

Enjoy a peaceful, shaded setting equipped with modern camping facilities. The full-service campground includes washroom facility with showers (new 2023), fire pits and access to fresh water. Cheyenne Park offers walking trails, bird watching, disc golf course, beach volleyball, baseball diamonds, and horseshoe pits. If you are looking for a place to have a family reunion, Cheyenne Park is the perfect venue with it's event shelter that can be rented for gatherings. The shelter is equipped with kitchen, hall, and washrooms rooms. The shelter is about 4,500 square feet in size and can either be used with the semi-translucent glass overhead doors open to give it that outdoor feeling or with the doors closed to feel more like a hall.

Local Attractions

Here in the small town of Ste-Agathe, you can enjoy a walking trail along the Red River, visit the S.S. Cheyenne boiler salvaged from the river, use the boat launch and go fishing in the Red River. The town has two gas stations, one Bar and Grill restaurant, a pharmacy, a post office, a bank (La Caisse) and two convenience stores. Cheyenne Park is a 15-minute drive to Winnipeg city limits. If you are planning on visiting Winnipeg's many attractions (The Forks, Human-Rights Museum, Winnipeg Art Gallery, Assiniboine Downs, ...), this is the campground for you. As for rural attractions, Manitoba has many unique attractions (https://www.travelmanitoba.com/road-trips/) and most rural communities have a summer festival.
