Campground Description

We are a family-oriented RV park/campground with full hook ups. Potable water on each site with a 30 amp plug adapter, and sewer outlet. Whether you are roughing it or “glamping,” you will be impressed with our campground. This beautiful RV park is located on the west shore of Lac La Biche Lake. We have 2 parks for the kids, a volleyball net and a driving range. Enjoy lawn games on our open field with your family and friends, or sand castle building on the beach. We have 2 washroom facilities with flush toilets, coin showers, and sinks. Handicap washrooms are also available and 2 laundromats. Grandma's store on site convenience store, has a little bit of everything, but not too much of one thing, and serves the best soft serve ice cream in the area, or so we are told. With extended hours on weekends, travelers can come spend a few minutes in “Grandma’s store” and find all the little necessities they may have forgotten to bring or just have to have!! Our family looks forward to seeing you on your next camping adventure!!!

Local Attractions

Plamondon Whitesands RV Park is located just minutes outside the town of Plamondon. The town that has a lot of history, some of which that can be checked out at their unique heritage park, with mini replica structures to represent the town and how it used to be, (tours are available upon request.) Want to see more history, Plamondon museum also boasts a lot of town history, or take a short drive to the Lac La Biche Mission historical site and have a tour, or enjoy many events they host on Canada Day. Our community is also famous for their annual events, which include a mini music jamboree hosted every June and Mud Bog racing weekend event held every July. Also in July the nearby town of Lac La Biche hosts their annual Pow Wow fair weekend for 3 days. We have so much to offer in our community and surrounding area. Come spend some time at our RV park and enjoy the peace and quiet or take a tour to check out some of our near by attractions. We look forward to having you.

We come to the cabins several times a year. This year we stayed for christmas, we brought our lights and gifts and totally enjoyed ourselves. The weather was so beautiful. We will be back for sure. Thank you to Collette for always looking after us.

We love this campground and its amenities. We choose this spot because we can get a waterfront spot with direct access to the beach. All sites have water and power but not all have a dump so be cognizant of that when booking. In a worst case scenario Plamondon ( the nearby town) has an excellent RV dump. The only thing we do not like bout this campground and wish they would fix is that all the waterfront sites are deeply sloped and makes it very hard to level any RV bigger than 23' long. So, if management is reading this...... please level the waterfront sites. It's the one thing that keeps us from booking at your campground if there is room at Sir Winston Churchill PP.

We love this campground. They seem to have lots of availability even though they have high ratings and reviews. The bathrooms are always clean, and the showers are very reasonable (generally $1-2 per shower). We choose the same sight every year and love that it is right on the beach, the kids have the park right beside the site and the little shop has the best ice cream. We continue to have a great time and always keep this on our yearly camping schedule. Also, we love that they have power, water and sewage at each site for longer stays. Great job guys! See you next year!

We have been coming here for almost 20 years. This year was the first in several, we were back as a whole family + some additions. Was awesome to share our happy place with them. Icing on the stay was the September long extravaganza! Perfect as always! Can’t wait to be back in 2024!

Wonderful grounds and awesome staff. The only complaint is the wood is insane expensive - I know we could have brought our own, so it was an expensive lesson to learn! Would stay here again!

The campground is clean, washrooms are well-maintained with showers and laundry rooms. The site is perfect for a large family, plus there is power and water. The beach is huge. They also have the Grandma’s store where you can buy some necessities and offer soft-serve ice cream, coffees, and slushies. The staff are very nice. We are going back to this campground next summer.

We stayed the Plamondon Whitesands Resort this past weekend with friends from Edmonton. This is a beautiful and well kept resort with lots to offer. Shower house, well stocked store with yummy ice cream and a driving range close by. The staff were friendly and always seem to be cleaning and maintaining the grounds and the buildings. The rates are very reasonable and the there is a great selection of stall sizes to fit all requirements. Highly recommend this resort for those that are looking for a great and enjoyable camping experience. Well done Whitesands owners & staff!

Plamondon White Sands Resort is a hidden gem of a campground! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a serene ambiance that instantly put me at ease. The location is perfect, surrounded by picturesque landscapes and nestled by a pristine lake, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts like me. The amenities were top-notch, and I was impressed by the well-maintained facilities, including clean washrooms and spacious campsites. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. What truly sets this campground apart is the wide range of activities available. Whether it's swimming in the crystal-clear lake, hiking through the scenic trails, or simply enjoying a peaceful evening by the campfire, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere was so inviting that I found myself making new friends and sharing stories with fellow campers. During the evenings, stargazing became a magical experience as the remote location allowed for unobstructed views of the night sky. It was a truly unforgettable experience. In summary, Plamondon White Sands Resort offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, exceptional service, and exciting activities. I can't wait to return and create more cherished memories at this fantastic campground. Five stars without a doubt!

I was scheduled to leave on the 25th. On the night of the 23rd I must have offended someone because I was arrested and taken to jail with an eviction notice for the 24th. If I had been asked to leave the next day I would have complied. The arrest was unnecessary, embarrassing, and very uncomfortable.

We originally tried this campground because it is very close to where we store our RV. My wife and I both really like water front campsites and this place does not disappoint!! There are many water front sites with your own little bit of beach. There is 30 amp power, good clean tasting water and wi-fi. There is a great playground for kids and they have cabin rentals that we are looking forward to trying this winter for some ice fishing. The people are friendly and the campground is kept clean and in good repair.

This has been my families getaway for a couple years now, the cabins are perfect for our stay in summer even ventured out this past winter. It's peaceful. It's amazing for the kids, the park is a hit, the ice cream is a must (24 flavors) and everyone is so helpful and friendly.

This is my second time camping here this summer and it is my favourite campground that I’ve been to. Bathrooms by C loop were clean and I loved the wheelchair accessible shower and bathroom as most campgrounds don’t have this! Will definitely be back

We stayed here for 2 weeks, the staff was amazing and the campground was perfect for our family. The full hookups is what initially sold us. The washrooms by C were clean as well as the showers. We booked again for another 4 days next week.

We recently stayed at a cabin and loved it. The cabin contains all the kitchen items one would need. They even have some wine glasses, butane lighter (for the firepit), wine and can openers, a knife block containing many knives, including steak knives, microwave cover, paper towels. Even the BBQ is clean. There was a black plastic sheet over the grill to keep it from getting dusty (from the air holes). They also had put new foil at the bottom of the BBQ so that every guest has a clean BBQ. The BBQ cooking tools hang in the kitchen on a wall. The kitchen has soap, a scrubber, dish towels and dish cloth. You have to bring your own bedding and personal towels. A nice surprise was a fly swatter hanging on the wall!

Pros: -Really nice campsite. You can choose your site according to the size of the campsite, and it says whether it's treed or not. -Lots of family amenities (ice cream shop, playground, and store). -Close to the beach (although the lake has blue-green algae, so not swimmable at that location). This is what may have resulted in the only con I have: -The campers adjacent to us had set up a bouncy tent, and when we arrived at 2 pm, they were in the tent having a great time. No problem, we have kids and understand that. However, the screaming (and I mean SCREAMING) didn't stop until almost 10 pm. It was impossible to hear our own quiet music with the humming of the tent and the screaming. They weren't supervised in any way, and there were many more kids in the tent than would be safe, in my opinion. We let the campground office know about this the next morning, and they offered to send security around in the afternoon. The tent was collapsed by 5 pm that day, and the kids went to the playground to play. We appreciate that they took our issue seriously - I doubt that we were the only ones to raise it.

This is our second time staying here and enjoyed the campground. It is clean and the staff are really nice. Only recommendations I would make is maybe another washroom building for the other half of the campground and maybe a walking trail. But we for sure will be back!!!

I read the reviews on here. Some mentioned about loud noises after 11pm. That is bull!! Ok I may happen from time to time but I stayed here a Lot and I had only experienced that once but they were removed the next morning. This is an amazing place for kids and they take their rules seriously. It is very clean and I have never had any issues. I go here about 2 to 3 time a year. Amazing place.

This campground is nice and clean. First time. Their cabin is also have every thing we need. Two suggestions. Cabin washroom should have some proper locking system or sliding door which can lock. Also there should be more common washroom available.

I booked here because from reading the rules you’d think they take them seriously. They do not. There is a huge party going on and no security in sight. Way past 11pm, called and asked nicely for help to quiet them. Night before these same people checked in late and was still setting up their camp at 11pm. I love our site and the beach. But I don’t have to drive two hours for this. There’s plenty of other noisy campgrounds to choose from and at least then I wont have high expectations.

2022 is the 2nd year our Family camped at Whitesands Resort. The RV campground is nice, clean & spacious. This is our 1st time to stay in the 2 bedrooms cabin. It was very clean and well kept and spacious. Our family did alot of canoeing & kayaking and enjoyed the lake. We had fun playing volleyball. The volleyball net was already there. Nice park area for the children which our grandsons enjoyed. The staff were friendly and proffesional. We will be back again. Thank you.

we have been staying at this campground for Three years now and we always enjoy our stay. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help when needed. we always stay in the B lot and we always have plenty of room for our 35' trailer and truck. The lots are kept clean and always ready for use. The new boat launch only 1.3km away is an added bonus and a great place to dock also. This campground has never disappointed us in any way, awesome staff and clients as well.

The cabins are extremely clean and well eqipped for the price. Staff are extremely friendly. We loved staying on the lake. Campground is more suited to fishing, but the beach is cute, raked, and sandy for kids. Firewoood was overpriced. Lots of birds and wildlife - we had a beaver visit our campsite at bedtime! All around would recommend.

This is my favourite campground to go to. Been camping there for the past 10 years or so. Staff are always friendly and nice to talk to. Every campground got its pros and cons but it’s how you deal with it to make the best of what you got and I can guarantee,everyone will always have a awesome time. The ice cream is the best. This is a great place for families. We stayed in a cabin & our parents brought their RV, experience was great in either. Staff were friendly and the little shop with ice cream was a fave for the kids. One bit of feedback is it would be good if there were more garbage cans and maintained walking trails..otherwise, great spot

We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed almost every minute of it. We had a noise issue one night with another camper and the staff handled it quickly and quietly. The sites are well taken care of, although the sewer smell would get strong every so often. And the sandy beach was a bit too rocky but we just kept out sandles on. I would recommend Plamondon to everyone. A great place to relax and enjoy nature and have fun! Great job to the girls up front, always smiling, and helpful. And to the young men who were going from site to site picking garbage and cutting lawns, two thumbs up!!

my campsite i need a shoehorn to get my trailer into it.the site was size for a small tent trailer no a 33 foot monster.the sewer was almost a foot above the ground,so u have to mickey mouse your drainage to accomadate this mistake.the site was so soft i had to move my camper twice. there was no room on the site to do anything. it was a rock pit and about as level as a earth quake.the bees and wasps were a plenty.the lake was green.i saw rebar on the beach.most shocking was the enter at your own risk to the bach.not very safe or friendly.

We loved the campground as it was very quiet, lots of families and kids everywhere. I could only rate it a 3 because our particular site B44 was all rocks and we raked up as much as we could around the firepit but were still twisting ankles in our site. Definately not a site for tenting and we were glad we had an rv.

This past weekend was our very first time camping ever as a family and we could not have asked for a better place to be! The campground itself was nicely laid out, good parks, beautiful sites and close to the beach. Staff were very friendly too. The day we got home we booked another weekend here and are bringing more friends next time. A gem of a place!

If you are looking for a clean well run campsite with friendly helpful staff this is it. These folks work hard to make your visit a good one. Don't expect hotel like amenities as this is just a great spot to pull up your RV or tent and enjoy.

I would like to say that this campground is excellent but I can't it is ok we have a 45ft Motorhome so when I booked online I also called to ask about the boat launch etc.. never was i told that the site might be muddy , so fast forward to arrival very friendly staff , we proceeded to our site it was tight to back into for us and the mud and ruts in the site where bad to say the least, it took at least an hour to just get parked , we even had to take our little wagon and fill it with gravel/rocks to get into our site to park, we would have asked for a different site but we were camping next to family.So even though it was a full hookup site we couldn't back in far enough to hook up to the sewer.the boat launch was destroyed so we couldn't use it another thing they didn't tell us when i called and asked about the lake, we were however able to launch beside the destroyed one, the lake was totally covered in green blue alga not the camps fault of coarse but it was sad .I think this campground has great potential if someone could take better care of it.

Recommended by a friend. Our experience with private campgrounds is less than ok. We were skeptical. Very nice campground. Good playground for kids. Friendly staff, rules enforced. No loud horrible parties. Spent almost 2 weeks. Need the boat launch fixed. Let us know what we can do.

We are so happy to have found this place. The Staff are totally helpful, I had a site booked for the long weekend in aug and had to cancel ,so I canceled within 7 days and received a full refund.. then by chance I got time off and tried to Rebook but they were full.. I called and they put me on the waiting list.. 3 days later I called back and the girl helped me book a site by phone...I had to book 2 different sites because of the shortage of lots..but no big deal we got our weekend camping ..love this place

My family and I stayed at the campground for fours days. This campground was very clean, tidy and very well maintained! Staff were all very nice, I even had a staff stop and take my dog poop bags as she was happy that I stopped and picked it up! When we where there we walked around and picked out our next campsite and booked it for our next camping trip! My family and I would 100% recommend this campground to anyone young or old!

Stayed two nights in a 2-bedroom cabin! The cabin is clean, all you need for cooking, barbecuing, utensils are available! The area is safe and kids’ friendly! My kids and my friends’ kids and us had a great time. The only thing that is off was that, you have to rent the beddings. Not so sure if it is in the website that it has to be rented per night. If I have known beforehand, I should have brought my own stuff. Nevertheless, our stay was wonderful and will definitely come back. The staff are nice & approachable! Give this a 5-star!

Unfortunate visit

Unfortunately our first visit to Plamondon was not the best experience at all....... 1. The campsite we reserved stated that it was for a 30ft unit however the listing was VERY incorrect. Not a remote chance that our trailer would fit in that spot. The girls at the front desk did however let me in across the road from our reserved spot tho...... 2. We run into some mechanical breakdown issues with our truck and had to leave early for home to get it fixed. I inquired to have a refund for the last night and was refused, stating that it just wasn’t possible. Quite unfortunate as our entire weekend was a “bust” and no extra customer service was possible....... just running a business I guess but disappointing just the same...... probably will never be back.

We come to the cabins several times a year. This year we stayed for christmas, we brought our lights and gifts and totally enjoyed ourselves. The weather was so beautiful. We will be back for sure. Thank you to Collette for always looking after us.

We rented a cabin for 3 nights. Amazing views. The cabin had everything you needed. My dog loved it as much as we did. Will definitely be going back

We love this campground and its amenities. We choose this spot because we can get a waterfront spot with direct access to the beach. All sites have water and power but not all have a dump so be cognizant of that when booking. In a worst case scenario Plamondon ( the nearby town) has an excellent RV dump. The only thing we do not like bout this campground and wish they would fix is that all the waterfront sites are deeply sloped and makes it very hard to level any RV bigger than 23' long. So, if management is reading this...... please level the waterfront sites. It's the one thing that keeps us from booking at your campground if there is room at Sir Winston Churchill PP.

We love this campground. They seem to have lots of availability even though they have high ratings and reviews. The bathrooms are always clean, and the showers are very reasonable (generally $1-2 per shower). We choose the same sight every year and love that it is right on the beach, the kids have the park right beside the site and the little shop has the best ice cream. We continue to have a great time and always keep this on our yearly camping schedule. Also, we love that they have power, water and sewage at each site for longer stays. Great job guys! See you next year!

We have been coming here for almost 20 years. This year was the first in several, we were back as a whole family + some additions. Was awesome to share our happy place with them. Icing on the stay was the September long extravaganza! Perfect as always! Can’t wait to be back in 2024!

Wonderful grounds and awesome staff. The only complaint is the wood is insane expensive - I know we could have brought our own, so it was an expensive lesson to learn! Would stay here again!

The campground is clean, washrooms are well-maintained with showers and laundry rooms. The site is perfect for a large family, plus there is power and water. The beach is huge. They also have the Grandma’s store where you can buy some necessities and offer soft-serve ice cream, coffees, and slushies. The staff are very nice. We are going back to this campground next summer.

We stayed the Plamondon Whitesands Resort this past weekend with friends from Edmonton. This is a beautiful and well kept resort with lots to offer. Shower house, well stocked store with yummy ice cream and a driving range close by. The staff were friendly and always seem to be cleaning and maintaining the grounds and the buildings. The rates are very reasonable and the there is a great selection of stall sizes to fit all requirements. Highly recommend this resort for those that are looking for a great and enjoyable camping experience. Well done Whitesands owners & staff!

Plamondon White Sands Resort is a hidden gem of a campground! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a serene ambiance that instantly put me at ease. The location is perfect, surrounded by picturesque landscapes and nestled by a pristine lake, making it an ideal spot for nature enthusiasts like me. The amenities were top-notch, and I was impressed by the well-maintained facilities, including clean washrooms and spacious campsites. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. What truly sets this campground apart is the wide range of activities available. Whether it's swimming in the crystal-clear lake, hiking through the scenic trails, or simply enjoying a peaceful evening by the campfire, there's something for everyone. The atmosphere was so inviting that I found myself making new friends and sharing stories with fellow campers. During the evenings, stargazing became a magical experience as the remote location allowed for unobstructed views of the night sky. It was a truly unforgettable experience. In summary, Plamondon White Sands Resort offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, exceptional service, and exciting activities. I was scheduled to leave on the 25th. On the night of the 23rd I must have offended someone because I was arrested and taken to jail with an eviction notice for the 24th. If I had been asked to leave the next day I would have complied. The arrest was unnecessary, embarrassing, and very uncomfortable.

We originally tried this campground because it is very close to where we store our RV. My wife and I both really like water front campsites and this place does not disappoint!! There are many water front sites with your own little bit of beach. There is 30 amp power, good clean tasting water and wi-fi. There is a great playground for kids and they have cabin rentals that we are looking forward to trying this winter for some ice fishing. The people are friendly and the campground is kept clean and in good repair.

This has been my families getaway for a couple years now, the cabins are perfect for our stay in summer even ventured out this past winter. It's peaceful. It's amazing for the kids, the park is a hit, the ice cream is a must (24 flavors) and everyone is so helpful and friendly.

This is my second time camping here this summer and it is my favourite campground that I’ve been to. Bathrooms by C loop were clean and I loved the wheelchair accessible shower and bathroom as most campgrounds don’t have this! Will definitely be back

We stayed here for 2 weeks, the staff was amazing and the campground was perfect for our family. The full hookups is what initially sold us. The washrooms by C were clean as well as the showers. We booked again for another 4 days next week.

We recently stayed at a cabin and loved it. The cabin contains all the kitchen items one would need. They even have some wine glasses, butane lighter (for the firepit), wine and can openers, a knife block containing many knives, including steak knives, microwave cover, paper towels. Even the BBQ is clean. There was a black plastic sheet over the grill to keep it from getting dusty (from the air holes). They also had put new foil at the bottom of the BBQ so that every guest has a clean BBQ. The BBQ cooking tools hang in the kitchen on a wall. The kitchen has soap, a scrubber, dish towels and dish cloth. You have to bring your own bedding and personal towels. A nice surprise was a fly swatter hanging on the wall!

Pros: -Really nice campsite. You can choose your site according to the size of the campsite, and it says whether it's treed or not. -Lots of family amenities (ice cream shop, playground, and store). -Close to the beach (although the lake has blue-green algae, so not swimmable at that location). This is what may have resulted in the only con I have: -The campers adjacent to us had set up a bouncy tent, and when we arrived at 2 pm, they were in the tent having a great time. No problem, we have kids and understand that. However, the screaming (and I mean SCREAMING) didn't stop until almost 10 pm. It was impossible to hear our own quiet music with the humming of the tent and the screaming. They weren't supervised in any way, and there were many more kids in the tent than would be safe, in my opinion. We let the campground office know about this the next morning, and they offered to send security around in the afternoon. The tent was collapsed by 5 pm that day, and the kids went to the playground to play. We appreciate that they took our issue seriously - I doubt that we were the only ones to raise it.

This is our second time staying here and enjoyed the campground. It is clean and the staff are really nice. Only recommendations I would make is maybe another washroom building for the other half of the campground and maybe a walking trail. But we for sure will be back!!!

I read the reviews on here. Some mentioned about loud noises after 11pm. That is bull!! Ok I may happen from time to time but I stayed here a Lot and I had only experienced that once but they were removed the next morning. This is an amazing place for kids and they take their rules seriously. It is very clean and I have never had any issues. I go here about 2 to 3 time a year. Amazing place.

This campground is nice and clean. First time. Their cabin is also have every thing we need. Two suggestions. Cabin washroom should have some proper locking system or sliding door which can lock. Also there should be more common washroom available.

I booked here because from reading the rules you’d think they take them seriously. They do not. There is a huge party going on and no security in sight. Way past 11pm, called and asked nicely for help to quiet them. Night before these same people checked in late and was still setting up their camp at 11pm. I love our site and the beach. But I don’t have to drive two hours for this. There’s plenty of other noisy campgrounds to choose from and at least then I wont have high expectations.

2022 is the 2nd year our Family camped at Whitesands Resort. The RV campground is nice, clean & spacious. This is our 1st time to stay in the 2 bedrooms cabin. It was very clean and well kept and spacious. Our family did alot of canoeing & kayaking and enjoyed the lake. We had fun playing volleyball. The volleyball net was already there. Nice park area for the children which our grandsons enjoyed. The staff were friendly and proffesional. We will be back again. Thank you.

we have been staying at this campground for Three years now and we always enjoy our stay. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help when needed. we always stay in the B lot and we always have plenty of room for our 35' trailer and truck. The lots are kept clean and always ready for use. The new boat launch only 1.3km away is an added bonus and a great place to dock also. This campground has never disappointed us in any way, awesome staff and clients as well.

The cabins are extremely clean and well eqipped for the price. Staff are extremely friendly. We loved staying on the lake. Campground is more suited to fishing, but the beach is cute, raked, and sandy for kids. Firewoood was overpriced. Lots of birds and wildlife - we had a beaver visit our campsite at bedtime! All around would recommend.

This is my favourite campground to go to. Been camping there for the past 10 years or so. Staff are always friendly and nice to talk to. Every campground got its pros and cons but it’s how you deal with it to make the best of what you got and I can guarantee,everyone will always have a awesome time. The ice cream is the best. This is a great place for families. We stayed in a cabin & our parents brought their RV, experience was great in either. Staff were friendly and the little shop with ice cream was a fave for the kids. One bit of feedback is it would be good if there were more garbage cans and maintained walking trails..otherwise, great spot

We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed almost every minute of it. We had a noise issue one night with another camper and the staff handled it quickly and quietly. The sites are well taken care of, although the sewer smell would get strong every so often. And the sandy beach was a bit too rocky but we just kept out sandles on. I would recommend Plamondon to everyone. A great place to relax and enjoy nature and have fun! Great job to the girls up front, always smiling, and helpful. And to the young men who were going from site to site picking garbage and cutting lawns, two thumbs up!!

my campsite i need a shoehorn to get my trailer into it.the site was size for a small tent trailer no a 33 foot monster.the sewer was almost a foot above the ground,so u have to mickey mouse your drainage to accomadate this mistake.the site was so soft i had to move my camper twice. there was no room on the site to do anything. it was a rock pit and about as level as a earth quake.the bees and wasps were a plenty.the lake was green.i saw rebar on the beach.most shocking was the enter at your own risk to the bach.not very safe or friendly.

We loved the campground as it was very quiet, lots of families and kids everywhere. I could only rate it a 3 because our particular site B44 was all rocks and we raked up as much as we could around the firepit but were still twisting ankles in our site. Definately not a site for tenting and we were glad we had an rv.

This past weekend was our very first time camping ever as a family and we could not have asked for a better place to be! The campground itself was nicely laid out, good parks, beautiful sites and close to the beach. Staff were very friendly too. The day we got home we booked another weekend here and are bringing more friends next time. A gem of a place!

If you are looking for a clean well run campsite with friendly helpful staff this is it. These folks work hard to make your visit a good one. Don't expect hotel like amenities as this is just a great spot to pull up your RV or tent and enjoy.

I would like to say that this campground is excellent but I can't it is ok we have a 45ft Motorhome so when I booked online I also called to ask about the boat launch etc.. never was i told that the site might be muddy , so fast forward to arrival very friendly staff , we proceeded to our site it was tight to back into for us and the mud and ruts in the site where bad to say the least, it took at least an hour to just get parked , we even had to take our little wagon and fill it with gravel/rocks to get into our site to park, we would have asked for a different site but we were camping next to family.So even though it was a full hookup site we couldn't back in far enough to hook up to the sewer.the boat launch was destroyed so we couldn't use it another thing they didn't tell us when i called and asked about the lake, we were however able to launch beside the destroyed one, the lake was totally covered in green blue alga not the camps fault of coarse but it was sad .I think this campground has great potential if someone could take better care of it.

Recommended by a friend. Our experience with private campgrounds is less than ok. We were skeptical. Very nice campground. Good playground for kids. Friendly staff, rules enforced. No loud horrible parties. Spent almost 2 weeks. Need the boat launch fixed. Let us know what we can do.

We are so happy to have found this place. The Staff are totally helpful, I had a site booked for the long weekend in aug and had to cancel ,so I canceled within 7 days and received a full refund.. then by chance I got time off and tried to Rebook but they were full.. I called and they put me on the waiting list.. 3 days later I called back and the girl helped me book a site by phone...I had to book 2 different sites because of the shortage of lots..but no big deal we got our weekend camping ..love this place

My family and I stayed at the campground for fours days. This campground was very clean, tidy and very well maintained! Staff were all very nice, I even had a staff stop and take my dog poop bags as she was happy that I stopped and picked it up! When we where there we walked around and picked out our next campsite and booked it for our next camping trip! My family and I would 100% recommend this campground to anyone young or old!

Stayed two nights in a 2-bedroom cabin! The cabin is clean, all you need for cooking, barbecuing, utensils are available! The area is safe and kids’ friendly! My kids and my friends’ kids and us had a great time. The only thing that is off was that, you have to rent the beddings. Not so sure if it is in the website that it has to be rented per night. If I have known beforehand, I should have brought my own stuff. Nevertheless, our stay was wonderful and will definitely come back. The staff are nice & approachable! Give this a 5-star!

Unfortunately our first visit to Plamondon was not the best experience at all....... 1. The campsite we reserved stated that it was for a 30ft unit however the listing was VERY incorrect. Not a remote chance that our trailer would fit in that spot. The girls at the front desk did however let me in across the road from our reserved spot tho...... 2. We run into some mechanical breakdown issues with our truck and had to leave early for home to get it fixed. I inquired to have a refund for the last night and was refused, stating that it just wasn’t possible. Quite unfortunate as our entire weekend was a “bust” and no extra customer service was possible....... just running a business I guess but disappointing just the same...... probably will never be back.

I was scheduled to leave on the 25th. On the night of the 23rd I must have offended someone because I was arrested and taken to jail with an eviction notice for the 24th. If I had been asked to leave the next day I would have complied. The arrest was unnecessary, embarrassing, and very uncomfortable.

We originally tried this campground because it is very close to where we store our RV. My wife and I both really like water front campsites and this place does not disappoint!! There are many water front sites with your own little bit of beach. There is 30 amp power, good clean tasting water and wi-fi. There is a great playground for kids and they have cabin rentals that we are looking forward to trying this winter for some ice fishing. The people are friendly and the campground is kept clean and in good repair.

This has been my families getaway for a couple years now, the cabins are perfect for our stay in summer even ventured out this past winter. It's peaceful. It's amazing for the kids, the park is a hit, the ice cream is a must (24 flavors) and everyone is so helpful and friendly.

This is my second time camping here this summer and it is my favourite campground that I’ve been to. Bathrooms by C loop were clean and I loved the wheelchair accessible shower and bathroom as most campgrounds don’t have this! Will definitely be back

We stayed here for 2 weeks, the staff was amazing and the campground was perfect for our family. The full hookups is what initially sold us. The washrooms by C were clean as well as the showers. We booked again for another 4 days next week.

We recently stayed at a cabin and loved it. The cabin contains all the kitchen items one would need. They even have some wine glasses, butane lighter (for the firepit), wine and can openers, a knife block containing many knives, including steak knives, microwave cover, paper towels. Even the BBQ is clean. There was a black plastic sheet over the grill to keep it from getting dusty (from the air holes). They also had put new foil at the bottom of the BBQ so that every guest has a clean BBQ. The BBQ cooking tools hang in the kitchen on a wall. The kitchen has soap, a scrubber, dish towels and dish cloth. You have to bring your own bedding and personal towels. A nice surprise was a fly swatter hanging on the wall!

Pros: -Really nice campsite. You can choose your site according to the size of the campsite, and it says whether it's treed or not. -Lots of family amenities (ice cream shop, playground, and store). -Close to the beach (although the lake has blue-green algae, so not swimmable at that location). This is what may have resulted in the only con I have: -The campers adjacent to us had set up a bouncy tent, and when we arrived at 2 pm, they were in the tent having a great time. No problem, we have kids and understand that. However, the screaming (and I mean SCREAMING) didn't stop until almost 10 pm. It was impossible to hear our own quiet music with the humming of the tent and the screaming. They weren't supervised in any way, and there were many more kids in the tent than would be safe, in my opinion. We let the campground office know about this the next morning, and they offered to send security around in the afternoon. The tent was collapsed by 5 pm that day, and the kids went to the playground to play. We appreciate that they took our issue seriously - I doubt that we were the only ones to raise it.

This is our second time staying here and enjoyed the campground. It is clean and the staff are really nice. Only recommendations I would make is maybe another washroom building for the other half of the campground and maybe a walking trail. But we for sure will be back!!!

I read the reviews on here. Some mentioned about loud noises after 11pm. That is bull!! Ok I may happen from time to time but I stayed here a Lot and I had only experienced that once but they were removed the next morning. This is an amazing place for kids and they take their rules seriously. It is very clean and I have never had any issues. I go here about 2 to 3 time a year. Amazing place.

This campground is nice and clean. First time. Their cabin is also have every thing we need. Two suggestions. Cabin washroom should have some proper locking system or sliding door which can lock. Also there should be more common washroom available.

I booked here because from reading the rules you’d think they take them seriously. They do not. There is a huge party going on and no security in sight. Way past 11pm, called and asked nicely for help to quiet them. Night before these same people checked in late and was still setting up their camp at 11pm. I love our site and the beach. But I don’t have to drive two hours for this. There’s plenty of other noisy campgrounds to choose from and at least then I wont have high expectations.

2022 is the 2nd year our Family camped at Whitesands Resort. The RV campground is nice, clean & spacious. This is our 1st time to stay in the 2 bedrooms cabin. It was very clean and well kept and spacious. Our family did alot of canoeing & kayaking and enjoyed the lake. We had fun playing volleyball. The volleyball net was already there. Nice park area for the children which our grandsons enjoyed. The staff were friendly and proffesional. We will be back again. Thank you.

we have been staying at this campground for Three years now and we always enjoy our stay. The staff is very friendly and always ready to help when needed. we always stay in the B lot and we always have plenty of room for our 35' trailer and truck. The lots are kept clean and always ready for use. The new boat launch only 1.3km away is an added bonus and a great place to dock also. This campground has never disappointed us in any way, awesome staff and clients as well.

The cabins are extremely clean and well eqipped for the price. Staff are extremely friendly. We loved staying on the lake. Campground is more suited to fishing, but the beach is cute, raked, and sandy for kids. Firewoood was overpriced. Lots of birds and wildlife - we had a beaver visit our campsite at bedtime! All around would recommend.

This is my favourite campground to go to. Been camping there for the past 10 years or so. Staff are always friendly and nice to talk to. Every campground got its pros and cons but it’s how you deal with it to make the best of what you got and I can guarantee,everyone will always have a awesome time. The ice cream is the best. We spent a weekend camping with friends. Beautiful large sites with full hook ups were very convenient. The campground is very clean and well run, quiet, family oriented and the staff are very friendly. We look forward to coming back!

This is a great place for families. We stayed in a cabin & our parents brought their RV, experience was great in either. Staff were friendly and the little shop with ice cream was a fave for the kids. One bit of feedback is it would be good if there were more garbage cans and maintained walking trails..otherwise, great spot

We stayed for 7 nights and enjoyed almost every minute of it. We had a noise issue one night with another camper and the staff handled it quickly and quietly. The sites are well taken care of, although the sewer smell would get strong every so often. And the sandy beach was a bit too rocky but we just kept out sandles on. I would recommend Plamondon to everyone. A great place to relax and enjoy nature and have fun! Great job to the girls up front, always smiling, and helpful. And to the young men who were going from site to site picking garbage and cutting lawns, two thumbs up!!

my campsite i need a shoehorn to get my trailer into it.the site was size for a small tent trailer no a 33 foot monster.the sewer was almost a foot above the ground,so u have to mickey mouse your drainage to accomadate this mistake.the site was so soft i had to move my camper twice. there was no room on the site to do anything. it was a rock pit and about as level as a earth quake.the bees and wasps were a plenty.the lake was green.i saw rebar on the beach.most shocking was the enter at your own risk to the bach.not very safe or friendly.

We loved the campground as it was very quiet, lots of families and kids everywhere. I could only rate it a 3 because our particular site B44 was all rocks and we raked up as much as we could around the firepit but were still twisting ankles in our site. Definately not a site for tenting and we were glad we had an rv.

This past weekend was our very first time camping ever as a family and we could not have asked for a better place to be! The campground itself was nicely laid out, good parks, beautiful sites and close to the beach. Staff were very friendly too. The day we got home we booked another weekend here and are bringing more friends next time. A gem of a place!

If you are looking for a clean well run campsite with friendly helpful staff this is it. These folks work hard to make your visit a good one. Don't expect hotel like amenities as this is just a great spot to pull up your RV or tent and enjoy.

I would like to say that this campground is excellent but I can't it is ok we have a 45ft Motorhome so when I booked online I also called to ask about the boat launch etc.. never was i told that the site might be muddy , so fast forward to arrival very friendly staff , we proceeded to our site it was tight to back into for us and the mud and ruts in the site where bad to say the least, it took at least an hour to just get parked , we even had to take our little wagon and fill it with gravel/rocks to get into our site to park, we would have asked for a different site but we were camping next to family.So even though it was a full hookup site we couldn't back in far enough to hook up to the sewer.the boat launch was destroyed so we couldn't use it another thing they didn't tell us when i called and asked about the lake, we were however able to launch beside the destroyed one, the lake was totally covered in green blue alga not the camps fault of coarse but it was sad .I think this campground has great potential if someone could take better care of it.

Recommended by a friend. Our experience with private campgrounds is less than ok. We were skeptical. Very nice campground. Good playground for kids. Friendly staff, rules enforced. No loud horrible parties. Spent almost 2 weeks. Need the boat launch fixed. Let us know what we can do.

We are so happy to have found this place. The Staff are totally helpful, I had a site booked for the long weekend in aug and had to cancel ,so I canceled within 7 days and received a full refund.. then by chance I got time off and tried to Rebook but they were full.. I called and they put me on the waiting list.. 3 days later I called back and the girl helped me book a site by phone...I had to book 2 different sites because of the shortage of lots..but no big deal we got our weekend camping ..love this place

My family and I stayed at the campground for fours days. This campground was very clean, tidy and very well maintained! Staff were all very nice, I even had a staff stop and take my dog poop bags as she was happy that I stopped and picked it up! When we where there we walked around and picked out our next campsite and booked it for our next camping trip! My family and I would 100% recommend this campground to anyone young or old!

Stayed two nights in a 2-bedroom cabin! The cabin is clean, all you need for cooking, barbecuing, utensils are available! The area is safe and kids’ friendly! My kids and my friends’ kids and us had a great time. The only thing that is off was that, you have to rent the beddings. Not so sure if it is in the website that it has to be rented per night. If I have known beforehand, I should have brought my own stuff. Nevertheless, our stay was wonderful and will definitely come back. The staff are nice & approachable! Give this a 5-star!
