Campground Description
The Village of Hussar Campground was established in 1993 with the help of our amazing community and community group including the Lions, Fish & Game Club, The Historical Society, and The Hussar 4H club. Village of Hussar Campground, surrounded in trees with a beautiful view of Dead Horse Lake. We have 13 available sites, 7 of which are powered. The RV Sani Dump available at the entrance and several water taps located around the campground. There is a playground for smaller children, a large field for sports, two baseball diamonds, a gazebo, and camp shelter is available for use upon request.
Local Attractions
Located less than an hour from the outskirts of Calgary, and half an hour to Drumheller Royal Tyrrell Museum, Hussar is a small quiet community with a big heart. Throughout the year we host numerous community Events including our Hussar Summer Daze Baseball tournament, Christmas Light Up the Night that lights up our campground with Luminaries to remember passed loved ones, and various Tournaments, Reunions, Music Shows, Weddings, Event Showers, and Birthday Parties. The Hussar Hall is located right beside the campground. It has over 10,000sqf of space and makes the perfect location for hosting events.

The following rules will be posted at the campground: a. Check in: 1:00 pm
b. Check out: 11:00 am
c. Quiet hours: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
d. Speed limit: 10 km/hour
e. Sites must be kept clean and tidy. Please place garbage in bins provided.
f. No open liquor away from campsites. Unruly and/or intoxicated behaviour will not be tolerated. No glass bottles are permitted.g. Fires allowed in fire pits only. Do not leave fires unattended. Firewood is not provided.
h. Parents are responsible for children in the playground areas. The Village will not be held responsible for any injuries from use of playground equipment.
i. No ATV’s, Dirt Bikes, Snowmobiles, etc.
j. Vandalism, including destroying trees, will be subject to a $1000.00 charge and will result in eviction from the campground without refund.
k. The Village reserves the right to refuse service to anyone and will not be held responsible for any accidents, injuries, loss or damages due to fire, theft, accident or acts of God.
