As Kelly said, a hidden gem!!!!! Spent a week here with our group! Quiet and relaxing! Exceptionally well kept and clean. The operators, Dwayne and Evelyn go the extra mile to make your stay is a great one! This park has large sites and activities for all ages… and we made use of nearly all of them! Loved the pickle ball courts! Can’t wait to return next year!

A Hidden Gem

Aug 5, 2023by Kelly Black
This is our second time to this amazing campsite. We love it here, so well maintained and quiet. Lots of room to do all the activities you want, the beautiful grassy areas and parks are perfect for games of Bocce and bean bag toss. Something to do for all age groups. Love it when Dwayne and Evelyn drive by almost every night around 10:45 to say goodnight to all the campers, very caring campground hosts. The sites are nice a big, and perfect for camping with friends, all close. Thanks again for another great week of camping, see you next year. Love all the MD parks in St. Paul, been to them all, well done, more campgrounds need to take a page out of your book.

Had a great weekend

Jul 18, 2023by Anonymous
Had a great quiet weekend there. Staff was very accommodating and week above and beyond to make us happy. Treated the kids extremely well. Something they’ll never forget. It’s too bad that the water has come down so far that it’s ruined the beach but further in the water was fine. Shower house could definitely be upgraded but was still clean. We’ll be back!

Really enjoyed our stay. Caretakers are so nice and friendly. They keep the campground, bathrooms, showers and play areas very clean. The splash park should be included in the fee for campers, bags are free to pick up after your pets but children have to pay to enjoy the splash park. Sites are private and surrounded by trees. Evelyn and Dwayne are amazing Will be returning The Amyotte gang

The campground attendants are what makes this experience second to none. They are super friendly and accommodating. My son talks about his adventures here year round. This year we went on another treasure hunt with our site map and hit up all the parks. The little cabin for kids is so amazing! We love it here and will return as often as Evelyn and her husband are running it.

This is such a well taken care of campground! The caretakers are extremely friendly and helpful, there are multiple playgrounds for kids plus the spray park was a wonderful treat for both the kids and the adults in +29 weather! Large, private sites and multiple group sites make this place an absolute gem and we will definitely go back again.

First time here! What a beautiful park. Well kept and staff very friendly. Lake is not easily accessible so water activities are tough but they have a splash park right near the beach. They even have tennis and pickle ball courts! We will be back!

Unprofessional

Aug 1, 2022by Anonymous
This was our second time staying at Westcove the first time was good so we figured we'd go back since the kids had such a great time. This time wasn't the case, right from the second we got there they put a sour taste in our mouths. First they said we didn't check in, we were with a group and the first people to arrive were the ones who checked us in, he came up in a huff then realized we were checked in, no apology. Then apparently we got a noise complaint (the park was nearly empty) that was fine but the way the woman handled it was very unprofessional saying she was going to blacklist and evict us while all intoxicated.. The way they handled themselves and spoke to our group was completely uncalled for. When we were checking out my husband went to go talk to them, the woman wouldn't stop arguing with him and her husband was in the back laughing at my husband.. very very rude! We won't be coming back and we are contacting their superiors.

I am very sorry that you did not have a good time. I am very sorry you felt that we behaved poorly. But unfortunately we have to respond to all and any complaints. We received a complaint concerning the noise and behavior of your group at approximately 130 am and responded to it and again received two more complaints the next morning that your group was very noisy until between 4 and 5 am. Our park had a total of 40 some bookings. Your husband requested a phone number that he could call and I gave it to him. I also reminded him not to call before tuesday as monday is a holiday and the county office is closed. Once again sorry you feel you were treated poorly.

We stayed in the group site and had a ton of room, gazebo was perfect for cooking and hiding from the rain. Outhouses had motion sensored lights inside and maintained as best as a permanent public outhouse could be. It is clear Evelyn and her husband care about what they do and it shows in the maintenance of the campground.

Beautiful Trees But…..

Jul 5, 2022by Heather McLean
A few changes would be appreciated such as better lighting in the outhouses and when the campground is fully booked perhaps the $25 charge could be relaxed a little!

We will see what we can do about the lighting as far as the 25 dollars it is a fee for any extra units on the same site as the first.

Highly recommend!!!

Great Experience

Jul 23, 2021by Pamela Warner
Despite terrible weather and smoky conditions this was a fantastic camping weekend. Evelyn and her husband truly made this a memorable trip for our son. We spent the entire day “treasure hunting” in misty, cold and smoky weather and when they asked what we were doing they set out to hid treasure for him. It’s been nearly a week since being home and he is still telling everyone about the treasure he found. We will surly be returning ;)

No swimming, no pets allowed in common areas, expensive wood.

Jul 13, 2021by Dez Mudryk
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, splash park, close to town. Cons: Lake is so low it's a algae infested swamp, no swimming, fishing or usable beach. All common areas are off limits to dogs. Wood is $10 for small bundle of not great wood. Summary: There are so many nicer sites in the Lakeland but this one is great if you live close and want to commute.

Very clean and tranquil

We really liked this campground. Lots of trees, and privacy was great. The only complaint i have was that the splash park should be included in the rates as the lake is unusable. Nasty blue green algae makes it nasty to be in.

Very nice clean family oriented campground

This was our first time at Westcove, we have been taking our granddaughter camping for five years now, and always go with my brother and his wife and one or two of his grandchildren. We like a lake and a playground for our activities. This met all our expectations, clean, lots of play areas, family friendly, and what kid doesn’t love a spray park..... We will be back to enjoy again next year

Nice little campground

Jul 1, 2019by Don Anderson
Spent the July long weekend in this nice, clean, well run campground. The weather was less than ideal but had a great family time. Safe so kids go off by themselves and we did not have to worry about them. Boat launch is a bit far from campground and 'beach' was sandy but had limited lake access. Would visit again.

Nice services but bring your own wood

Jun 27, 2019by vanessa bodnar
Check in was quick and easy. Sites are private and very nice. Pet friendly. The longer trails in the back were great for walking our dogs. Shower room was not heated and the cool rainy days we were there, would have been a blessing if they were. Brrr. Was too rainy to enjoy the beach which is down the hill. Would have to cart everything down as there’s no parking nearby. Most sites are quite far from it for little ones. The wood provided for $10/wheel barrow was green and completely soaked. Prepare ahead if you can and bring your own. We could only manage lighting a fire one night and that was with a lot of fire starter and drying wood around the pit. I would come back but I’d have my own next time.

Great place to camp.

Jun 27, 2019by Louise Warholik
We thoroughly enjoy camping here but would ask if it’s possible to tarp the wood. We stayed for 5 days and it rained most days. It would have been nice to be able to buy dry wood instead of it being wet. The tarp could be removed on bright sunny days and put back on when the weather is forcasted for rain. Some of the lots sure could use more levelling as it becomes a problem to block the trailers.

Very Well Run

We stayed at Westcove for a couple of nights and were very impressed by the facilities and the cleanliness. The camp host, Kevan was very interested in making our stay enjoyable. We’ll be sure to tell others about this gem! See you again! Thanks! Bart Clark

Nice family campground

May 27, 2019by Sylvie Dumont
Close to St. Paul. Lots of activities available for the whole family. Pet-friendly. Some sites are not great but the majority are private and roomy. Lake is not great. Boat access is a bit far from the campground and no swimming.

Spent the July long weekend in this nice, clean, well run campground. The weather was less than ideal but had a great family time. Safe so kids go off by themselves and we did not have to worry about them. Boat launch is a bit far from campground and 'beach' was sandy but had limited lake access. Would visit again.

We like a lake and a playground for our activities. This met all our expectations, clean, lots of play areas, family friendly, and what kid doesn’t love a spray park..... We will be back to enjoy again next year

Spent the July long weekend in this nice, clean, well run campground. The weather was less than ideal but had a great family time. Safe so kids go off by themselves and we did not have to worry about them. Boat launch is a bit far from campground and 'beach' was sandy but had limited lake access. Would visit again.

We stayed at Westcove for a couple of nights and were very impressed by the facilities and the cleanliness. The camp host, Kevan was very interested in making our stay enjoyable. We’ll be sure to tell others about this gem! See you again! Thanks! Bart Clark

Close to St. Paul. Lots of activities available for the whole family. Pet-friendly. Some sites are not great but the majority are private and roomy. Lake is not great. Boat access is a bit far from the campground and no swimming.
