General Rules and Regulations
- All registered campers are to report to the Manager Site to check in
- Drivers must obey the Highway Traffic Act, posted speed limits, signs and be aware of pedestrians, especially children at all times. All Terrain Vehicles are prohibited in the campground
- Golf carts are allowed, driver must hold a valid drivers license.
- Campsites must be kept clean and tidy at all times. Deposit all garbage in proper receptacles located within the campground. If the site is left unkempt, a $50.00 fee will be charged
- The Municipality encourages recycling. Please utilize the proper recycling bins on site.
- Playground area is unsupervised. Use at your own risk. Parents/Guardians are responsible for their child’s safety.
- Rowdy behavior, excessive noise or swearing will not be tolerated.
- Fireworks are prohibited.
- Only Municipality of Grassland staff are authorized to operate the campground equipment including but not limited to mowers, weed eaters and chain saws.
- Municipality of Grassland assume no responsibility whatsoever for personal injury or loss/damage to vehicles or personal property of any kind.
Campsites
- Check-in time is after 1:00pm and Check-out time is before 12:00pm.
- Campsite permit holders must be at least 18 years of age.
- The permit holder is responsible for the conduct and behavior of their family and guests.
- A maximum of 6 persons are permitted per campsite, unless it is a single family of parents and their children living at the same address.
- Where space permits, a maximum of 3 pieces of shelter equipment is allowed per campsite. Only one of which may be a travel trailer, tent trailer, camper van, motor home or self-propelled camping unit.
- Quiet time is from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
- Campfires are only allowed in the fire pits provided at each campsite and only to a maximum of 0.6 metres (2 feet) in height.
- Please be considerate of fellow campers and arrive early (prior to 10:00 p.m.) to set up your campsite. The noise created from setting up is often disturbing to other campers. If this is not possible, please keep noise to a minimum.
- Air conditioning must not be run during the week if unit is vacant. Units with running A/C and no occupancy will be charged an additional $25 a day.
Additional Vehicles
- Limit vehicles to two per site. Additional vehicles can be by the boat launch area – not restricting access to the boat launch.
Campsite Visitors
- All visitors to the campground must park by the boat launch area – not restricting access to the boat launch.
- No visitors are allowed to enter the campground after 9:00pm.
- Day visitors must leave the campground by 11:00 p.m.
Alcoholic Beverages
- Alcohol may only be consumed on a registered campsite only.
- Alcohol is not permitted in public areas including washrooms, beach, or playground area.
Firewood
- Firewood is provided at a cost.
- Outside firewood is permitted.
Reservations
- Reservations will be made online by visiting www.grasslandmunicipality.ca and follow the prompts for campground bookings.
- Reservations must be made in the name of the person who will be staying at the site. If a name change is required, please call the campground office prior to arriving.
- If full payment was not made by credit card at the time of booking, the remaining left owing is due upon check in (exact cash or cheque only)
- A “no-show” is a reservation that has not been claimed by 2:00 p.m. the day following the arrival date. A “no-show” will result in the reservation being cancelled with a one-night charge.
Cancelling a Reservation
- Reservations cancelled without 24-hour notice, will be charged for a one-night stay.
- Camping is an outdoor experience. Therefore, no reimbursement will be approved for discomforts of nature including rain, snow, temperature change and insects.
- Campers evicted from the campground for any circumstance are not eligible for reimbursement.
Pets
- Pets must be on a leash not exceeding 2 meters (6 feet) and must be under control at all times.
- Pets are not to make excessive noise or disturb other persons and are not permitted in washroom / changeroom facilities or playground / beach area.
- All pets must be supervised at all times
- Poop and scoop apply at all times.
COVID19 Regulations
- Due to constant and quickly changing information, please note that the most recent Public Health Order presented by the Province of Manitoba will be in effect.
Failure to comply with any of the above stated polices could result in eviction
